Different looks of Giant Redwood Trees

These giant redwood trees grow to an average height of 60 meters but can actually reach heights of over 100 meters. “Hyperion”, the tallest redwood, is 115.5 meters tall and can be found in the Redwood National Park near San Francisco. Interestingly, a subspecies of this group does not grow as tall but instead expands in width, growing very large diameter shafts. “General Sherman” is the widest of this subspecies with a diameter or 11.1 meters.
